MEDIA*PLAY Briefing Center Software
MediaPlay is a web-based, content management and audio-visual
control system for managers of digital presentation environments.
A result of our BrandSpace development projects, this system
provides a wealth of administrative capabilities in a simple,
easy to use web interface.
MediaPlay currently includes the following key features:
- Digital signage with 365-day scheduling of names, news,
and events
- A "playlist" feature for organization and
playback of media loops
- An application for pre-scripting of media and AV controls
for automated event playback (perfect for theaters and
demonstration spaces)
- A dynamic interactive kiosk interface with drop-in
content capability (no re-authoring)
MediaPlay can be adapted to many venues, including:
- Executive Briefing Centers (EBCs)
- Interactive museums
- Corporate interiors (lobbies, history halls, demonstration
spaces)
- Retail
- Sporting arenas
WHAT'S INSIDE
Under the hood, MediaPlay is comprised of a set of client
and server components. The server includes:
- An HTML administration site (utilizing Windows IIS)
- An XML-driven content store
- A replicating file service
- Remote connectivity to environmental control systems
(currently AMX)
Client-side components include:
- A Flash animation template (with reference hooks to
the administration system)
- A full-screen media player (for playlist loops)
- A user-interface for control of pre-scripted media
events
- An interactive kiosk template for selection and playback
of media
Sharing a common architecture with today's leading media
browsers, MediaPlay uses XML and peer-to-peer file replication
to automatically distribute content to remote PC hosts.
MediaPlay can work in any setting where impressive digital
presentation and dynamic, web-enabled administration is valuable.
